A real sign of healing is when you stop taking everything personally. You begin to see that people act from their own patterns, their own wounds, their own stories. Their behavior is about them, not you. And the moment you understand that, life feels lighter.
Quit discounting yourself. Quit thinking you can’t pray for something big, you don’t have the faith, you don’t come from the right family. The requirement is: Are you a human? Since you are, God says you can ask for things that seem impossible.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply keep trusting God one day at a time.
He sees the battle you’re facing, and He promises to give strength to those who depend on Him.
Steven Bartlett, host of the podcast, The Diary of a CEO, released an interview with Christian apologist, John Lennox, this week, and his closing comments to him were fascinating:
"One of the most compelling arguments for God that you've presented (and your way of seeing the world and being) is not actually necessarily anything you've written in your books or not not necessarily anything you've said. It is actually you.
You have a certain peace and contentment that I rarely see in people that I interview, but I often see, and I've almost always seen, in the Christians that I've interviewed, and this is a interesting phenomenon for me...it seems to be a trend that a lot of the Christian apologists that I've interviewed have that anchoring that so many of us are looking for."
What a great witness.

When we hold onto anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness, we do the devil’s work for him.
But when we let God help us trade anger for kindness, resentment for compassion and bitterness for gentleness... it splits this cold world wide open with the warmth of Jesus.
While praying one day, a woman asked, "Who are you, God?" He answered, "I AM."
"But who is 'I AM'?" she asked.
He replied, "I am love. I am peace. I am grace. I am joy. I am strength. I am safety. I am shelter. I am power. I am the Creator. I am the Comforter. I am the beginning and the end. I am the way, the truth, and the light."
With tears in her eyes, she looked toward heaven and said, "Now I understand. But who am I?" God tenderly wiped the tears from her eyes and whispered, "You are mine."💟🙏
The older I get, the more I believe happiness lives in the ordinary. Pets. Plants. A quiet morning coffee. Blue sky. Cotton clouds. Birds singing. The gentle breeze through the trees. A clean, cosy house. Good food. Good hearted simple poeple. So much of life’s beauty is quiet, gentle, and already here. And somehow, one of the sweetest feelings is knowing I get to wake up and meet it all again tomorrow.
Did you know that when you have lost your peace of mind you have the power to regain it? Anytime you find that you are worrying, fretful, or anxious about anything, release the problem to God through a simple heartfelt prayer and purposely think about something in your life that is good! Worrying is completely useless. It wears you out mentally, emotionally, and physically and it doesn’t make your problem any better at all.
Peace of mind is valuable, and it is quite impossible to enjoy life without it. Seek and pursue the peace that is yours through Jesus Christ. Don’t be deceived into believing that you can’t help what you think, because you absolutely can. You can change your mind about anything! Practice “on purpose” thinking instead of being passive and merely waiting to see what thoughts fall into your mind.
I can share with you that I experience the same mental battles that many people do, and I have to practice having peace on purpose. You are a child of God, and His peace is in you. I recommend that you start recognizing the things that are stealing your peace and deal with them so they can no longer torment you.
@BethMooreLPM@Beth_McKenz Yes, HE did, Beth. I love this.
Author and perfector of salvation. He redeems and restores the past and that which isn’t will one day be made perfect when we see Him face to face.
@BethMooreLPM How darling. Reminds me of the book I’m reading now, Theo of Golden. Theo sees things in these portraits he gives away. If they are younger, he says give them 30 years. You’re right, life is hard and it’ll show up in our faces. But lucky for us, we have a God who is a redeemer.
