@AHFemale8@rayengroves My immediate thought was “I think she needs to find a Methodist church”. But idk, are there actually any churches that are pro-choice? Whatever my personal beliefs are..that isn’t biblical.
@GoodLittleMoose@Seanfrank I fully subscribe to the 1 kid = no kids when you parent 2+. But you don’t know that when you only have 1. I have three and giggle at how overwhelmed I used to be when it was just my oldest.
@WildPasts_@themaddierune Have you seen Now You See Me, Now You Don’t? I’m American, so can’t speak to how good it is, but I’ve read people’s opinions online about Rosamund Pike’s South African accent in that movie.
@themaddierune That said, I thought Jason Isaac’s’ accent in White Lotus was pretty successful. Because he went really specific with the accent. He sounds just like Thomas Ravenel. 2/2
@themaddierune It’s because they try to go too general. They try to do a “Southern” accent, which doesn’t exist. My husband is from a suburb of Atlanta and just sounds like that bland “somewhere in America” accent 99% of the time. But certain words are longer and have different sounds 1/
@hollowearthterf I’ve had 3 kids, had an epidural with my first, and had two unmedicated births, in a birthing center. Much preferred my natural births. With my third baby, I got to go home and sleep in my own bed a few hours after having my girl, and that was amazing. 10/10.
@NoFilterSkin When my youngest was a few months old, I was admitted for a week and had my gallbladder removed. She had to stay with me, though, as she was breastfed. Honestly, I hated being stuck in that damn place. But the sleep was pretty good.
@BexWords@GseriesARFCOM@thechosenberg I totally agree, which is why I said the husband sucks. And yeah, it’s possible she was alright at the start, and went too hard due to the pace he set. Likely she didn’t feel comfortable asking him to slow down, since he’s such a douchebag.
@GseriesARFCOM@thechosenberg I still hiked while pregnant. It was one of the only things to do where we lived. Husband in this case sucks, but if the wife didn’t feel up to it, she shouldn’t have gone.
@audrawrongspeak I have a four bedroom house & 3 kids. My youngest (2) sleeps in the office connected to my bedroom, as she still wakes about once at night. She’ll probably move into her brother’s room when she’s ready, and our other bedroom is a playroom right now. Closeness isn’t a bad thing.
@soupcanarchist YES. I have been blessed with THREE kids who all love independent play. And it’s because I allowed them to do stuff like this as babies. That developed more. It’s good for their imaginations as they get older, and it’ll let you get more things done when they’re toddlers.
@hell_line0 GLOWS when they tell him. He goes out of his way to compliment other men now. I think compliments tend to mean more from people of the same gender, because we assume nothing is attached to it. 2/2
@hell_line0 I was just talking to my husband about this yesterday. I used to work with a guy who had a really cool tattoo, but I never complimented him on it because I didn’t want it to be interpreted wrong. On the other hand, men often compliment my husband’s mustache, and he positively 1/
@Imback2222@hell_line0 Without hearing his tone, I don’t think that’s a weird way to respond. You asked him what it was, it sounds like he may not know, since his wife bought it. My husband has a scentbird subscription that I set up, so likely wouldn’t know what he’s wearing day to day.
@kuroclover123@ian_heyting@Serenitee_Sam Flying and not being asked for proof with my babies made me SO uncomfortable. I’ve flown with two of my kids, ticketed and non-ticketed, by myself each time. Brought their BC, but was never asked to provide it. They could have been anyone’s kids.
@StFu163@ian_heyting@Serenitee_Sam If you check with TSA, you are actually required to bring a birth certificate for children who don’t have identification. For the same reason you have to show them your ID when going through security. That said, they’ve never actually asked me for that when flying with my kids.
@catnjustme@GinaaRoxx But also, you didn’t say those things in your original post lol. You’re picking apart stupid things and being like “see how crazy she is!?” She makes drastically different choices than me, but the lax areas of her motherhood do not say controlling.
@catnjustme@GinaaRoxx When you say that the 4 year old doesn’t have the checklist, IMO. If this is her one upping dad and seeing that everything is done to a T, why not both kids? It points way more toward it being a rigid routine for older kid to follow, or else she’ll forget. 2/2
@catnjustme@GinaaRoxx My kid gets canker sores often from biting her cheeks/lips. They’re not an age-specific thing. And what a weird argument for rinsing your mouth lol. I think you’ll find most people are rinsing their mouth from the tap.
Not biased toward the female, just not jumping the gun
