A thing that drives me crazy as a supervisor is people who won't ask clients or employees for stuff because they have made up their mind that the person will say no, before even asking. I always say the same thing: "Let *them* tell you no."

@wizardsofautism This has been a big topic in my house, as we've learned my wife and son are both autistic. I don't personally find it to be a respect thing, but a cue that my son is listening, because that's how neurotypical people usually show it. We're finding other cues instead now though.

@Lady_Devi_ @SueTheBirdLady @flareaudio They are AMAZING. Truly. A world of difference for my wife. And they really do make her feel calm, without the extra noise causing anxiety or dread. They sell a really nice keychain case for them too. I'm hella cheap, and I would honestly spend twice as much.

I got her some for Xmas & she is astonished by crowd noise not upsetting her, ambient sounds in the house, etc. A little pricey but now I would pay ANYTHING, they help her SO much. 157/10 get some!
