Dear Nigerians in UK, becareful of these things. It can ruin you 🇬🇧🇳🇬
1. Gambling with your hard earned money. This will throw you into financial issues. You will start borrowing, becoming anxious and broke.
2. Helping friends receive money to your account or forwarding to an unknown account. It can get you blocked by banks. Its a big deal here.
3. Fighting at work: this can get you sacked and possibly lose your visa status. It is highly unprofessional.
4. Sleeping at work: Dont do this. Its better to go home off unwell than sleep at work. Confirm also, if you can sleep during your break.
5. Dating a colleague; This may start off good, but if the relationship breaks, you can be accused of something more serious. Avoid at all cost.
6. No matter what, dont lay hands on your woman or man. Better to walk away in the middle of heated argument than to stay there and get more infuriated.
7. If you are off sick, dont pick a shift or job elsewhere. No matter how enticing. The agency will try to lure you. But if shiii hits the fan, you're the one liable not them.
8. You can block your work colleagues from your social media, to avoid stories that touch. Its better to be safe than sorry.
9. Drinking and driving, is a no no. Avoid this with your life. If you know you eill drink where you're going to, take an uber or go with a friend who can drive (has license or their own car).
10. Don't drive if you dont have a full UK driving license. Avoid using your expired international drivers license as well.
11. Don't date an under age. Always ask their age. No matter how big they are, no matter the circumstances of the meeting, always ask their age. Dont assume. Ignorance is not an excuse in the eyes of the law. RUN. So many have bee imprisoned and deported because of this.
12. Dear care worker, treat your patient right. No matter what conditions they have or how old they are, you can lose your job if you treat them unfairly.

My wife bought a brand new iPhone at the Apple store located at Jakande, Lekki Phase 1,Lagos last September.
We decided to trade it in for a new one today at the Apple Store located at Westfield Stratford City Arcade (London) a few minutes ago
Only God did not let them call the police on us
The attendant scanned the IPhone and declared that it had been reported as stolen.
Stolen from where?
It was not a used iPhone
It was new, purchased from an approved Apple Store and we have all the receipts intact
The attendant saw our indignation and went ahead to consult with her superiors
They scanned again and they declared that it was reported “missing”.
They adjusted their language from stolen to missing and told us it has zero swap value.
I was not shocked at all even though I should be.
Nigerians like cutting corners for unhealthy gains and they always believe this is good business for them as long as they were able to make a buck.
Somehow we were able to walk out of that Apple Store without any drama but I remember telling my wife that we would have had a lot of explaining to do if they had a policy that required that they must report such incidents to the police.
Nigerian business people must try to do better than this
There is something called integrity, it has a higher value than the dirty gains they think they are getting by playing dirty.
I have always insisted on buying things in Nigeria because it helps the economy but I can see the reason many prefer to shop abroad.
We must do better than this as a people.

Weeks ago I spoke to a guy that earns £25000 weekly and in some weeks it's like £35000. He is less than 40yrs.
In my head I was like when did this guy started his career to grow to this level.
I know there's more to life than money but in this UK don't let any one limit your mind
I am at this wonderful family Life conference organized by Redemption Faith Church - MIV Shrewsbury and there are some vital lessons I have gotten.
Let me share some here:
1. How you speak to people can sometimes be more important than the message.
Call 111 and explain how traumatic your situation is, that you’re in severe pain and unable to register with a dentist because none are available. They’ll refer you straight away, and you’ll need to pay £25 at the clinic you’re sent to. The £25 fee usually covers urgent treatment like extractions, temporary fillings, or prescriptions. Just make sure you emphasize on the pain on the phone so that they can quickly refer you
I’m not trying to blame the victim here, but we need to be honest with ourselves. Selling and buying COS is ILLEGAL, and anyone involved must take responsibility for the outcome. Instead of protesting in a way that exposes ignorance and encourages illegal behavior, efforts should be focused on educating and sensitizing people against purchasing COS in the first place.
