Japan is the kind of country where elementary school kids can safely walk to school alone without any fear.
It’s light-years ahead of the rest of the world.
Ça c'est plutôt une bonne idée !
Avec la chaleur qui est insupportable et parfois dangereuse en été au Japon, cette école maternelle a installé un toit rétractable de 25m x 30m pour que les enfants puissent jouer à l'ombre #Japon

We have more than 20 dams coming up for Arunachal. Our Govt wants to tap whole 58000MW electricity out of our rivers. Wish we had more helps from fellow Indians, esle Arunachal is gone. We have 2880MW Dibang NHPC dam( highest gravity dam India) and now 12000MW Siang dam. SOS
This sounds impossible: the quantum vacuum energy in a proton’s volume is equivalent to the total energy of the observable universe, matching to within ~3%.
Not a measured coincidence—it falls out of the holographic principle. The proton behaves like a pixel of the cosmos. ⚛️
It is deeply concerning to see sections of the local media are circulating claims that the likely cancellation of the Japanese Prime Minister’s Guwahati visit was due to “security concerns”, without placing any official confirmation, security advisory, or credible diplomatic source to support such a serious assertion.
As of now, national media reports have attributed that the likely shift of the India–Japan summit from Guwahati to New Delhi is linked to logistical constraints, the tight schedule of the visiting Japanese delegation, and the ongoing parliamentary session in Japan. If that is the information currently available from credible national sources, then it is unfair and irresponsible for local media to present an unverified local theory as the main reason behind such an important diplomatic decision.
This is not just merely a question of one news angle versus another. It is about responsible journalism. Matters involving diplomatic visits, international relations, and Assam’s public image should not be turned into sensational headlines without evidence. If any media organisation has concrete proof, official security inputs, or on-record confirmation linking the venue change, it should place that information in the public domain.
Assam and Guwahati deserve responsible journalism. At a time when trust in the media is already under strain, reporting on such a sensitive issue should be guided by verification, balance, and accountability rather than by the urge to create a dramatic narrative around an already sensitive public issue.
I therefore urge all media organisations reporting this issue to clearly distinguish verified facts from assumptions and speculation, and to report with the seriousness that a matter of diplomatic significance deserves.
Amoti/Ambubachi was once about letting Shakti rest. Fields were not ploughed, fruits were not plucked, and homes observed a quiet period of reverence. It was our ancestors' way of acknowledging that Mother Earth, too, needs time to rest and renew. #Ambubachi
Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, the students did not die because of society, teachers, or parents.
They died because of paper leaks and the repeated failures of your ministry.
If anyone needs to take responsibility, it is YOU.
Artificial colours to compete with cherry blossoms, ancient trees and koi filled water ways. Japan's green cover reflects patience and respect for nature. What's the point of planting saplings on concrete now after cutting down mature trees? #Guwahati
A huge shoutout to all the rock bands of Guwahati, past and present who built and sustained the city's rock scene long before it was fashionable. Your passion, persistence, and music kept the flame burning. 🎸🔥

While honoured by the centenary invitation, the realities faced today by the poor and the sons of the soil stand in stark contrast to the values and vision he so passionately sang and wrote for. In that spirit, with respect I decline.

@siddaramaiah Sir, my son had to be flown back from Bangalore to Guwahati as he’s detected with Dengue. I just spoke with one of his classmates, a Kannadiga who said that dengue is spreading and the government isn’t doing anything. Please look into it, Sir.
It’s a beautiful feeling that our film Gorai Phakhri is receiving love and support at home in Assam, it’s running successfully for the second week now and running four shows at Kokrajhar.
