Day 27. Today I learnt that the word for widow in French is “Veuve” and Cliquot is a poppy. However, research instigated due to this learning did not result in champagne names meaning ‘widow poppy’ but did send me down a rabbit hole about the Veuve Cliquot family. Ain’t life ace?
