Years ago, I worked for an organisation back home in Italy. During this period, there was this annoying guy. He was always trying to intimidate me because I was a contingent worker. That guy was just like Arturo in Money Heist.

He didn’t have manners and respect. A few years later, he had family problems, which made him resign and leave the organisation. He returned home. He is from one of the EU countries.

After he departed, I became a permanent staff. I also later became one of the Reps in the company.

Years later, he was trying to get back to this same company. He wanted the company to take him back. He couldn’t talk to me because he knew what he did years back. I didn’t stop him, but his conscience wouldn’t let him.

He was begging others to help him. I was one of those who could help him by discussing it with the director. He never spoke to me. The company hired someone else.

The reason I’m telling you this story is never to look down on anyone. The person begging you today or below you might be your boss tomorrow. That person might be the one to help you tomorrow. Humble yourself; no one knows tomorrow.

Don’t burn bridges. You may need them tomorrow.

The same way your kindness will speak for you is the same way your lousy attitude will speak for you. One will benefit you, while the other won’t help you. 🤝
