@SydneyLWatson Same for Canadian hockey. In Outliers book, Malcolm Gladwell talks about the "relative age effect" and that many successful Canadian hockey players are born in the early months of the year due to an arbitrary age cutoff date. A child less likely to make teams if late birthday.
