Last weekend, I presented a paper to the @Barbara_Pym society at their conference in Boston. I wrote the paper originally for one of my essays during my Master’s at Oxford, so it was such a thrill to return to it and to showcase my research to a wonderful group of Pym fanatics.
Had a ball presenting @OxfordEGC2023 this afternoon, experimenting with different readings & a magical realist result in Muriel Spark’s ‘The Hothouse by the East River’. Thanks to all involved, & shoutout to @queenofquirk for her genius paper alongside!
Sign up to attend our conference on the 2nd June at St. Cross Building with the link below. Come see all of the wonderful graduate talks taking place on the day itself, as well as a keynote lecture from @deborahlamkh!

Thoroughly attending the @OxLifeWriting colloquium today “Writing Women” - couldn’t attend the Linton Lecture on Anna Beer’s new book but was lucky enough to attend that book’s launch a few months back. Loved each talk, and excited to learn more about the women/fields discussed!!

At the @OxBibSoc centenary colloquium today! Have enjoyed the talks so far on Oxford’s Library acquisition history and especially looking forward to the exhibition tour at lunch, as well as the “Future of Bibliography” talks this evening
Had such a lovely time meeting @queenofquirk today in NYC! We originally connected somewhere between 2013-2015 as teen bloggers through chats! It was so exciting to finally meet in person!
📅 WEDNESDAY: Jane Loughman '22GS (@queenofquirk) will be taking over the GS Instagram Stories to share what a day in her life looks like as a student in the #ColumbiaDualBA Program with @tcddublin. Tune in tomorrow! 👉 https://t.co/uQHjhNZ9rS
Barnard’s upcoming productions of “Fun Home,” “Jackie,” “The Appeal,” and “The Sonic Life of a Giant Tortoise” will bring sexual discovery, grief and unreliable narratives of historical figures to the Minor Latham Playhouse this semester.

The Barnard theater department’s second fall production followed Orlando, who is a boy at the beginning of the narrative and is a woman at the end. The play, adapted from Virginia Woolf’s novel, explores identity questioning and gender dysphoria.
