@Joe_Trinder Interesting how proximity to raw materials hastens invention. Not many raw materials available in the South Pacific. I think sailing purposely around the Pacific for thousands of years counts.

@mcnaughthelen1 When I lived there they were mostly limed. There was stretches of tarseal outside the 3 schools because there was a law that said all NZ schoolss had to have so many metres of tarseal outside them. It made driving home at night easy without street lights.
