Take heed when the Almighty exposes someone’s intention towards you. He has done it for a reason. Some will act like they care about you but behind your back, it’s a different story. They may even speak ill of you. But don’t worry. The truth will always come out.
marrying someone who brings you closer to Allah and boosts your Imaan is genuinely blessing, may we all marry a righteous spouse who is always be a reminder, ameen.
Allah can remove someone you never imagined losing, and He can replace that loss with something you never imagined receiving. Trust His wisdom; what leaves your life does so by His decree, and what arrives comes with a purpose.
Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه اللّٰه said:
“Obsessive love for someone who is impermissible (a non-mehram) contains corruption that only the Lord of servants fully knows & enumerates and it is one of the diseases that corrupt a person’s religion, and then may it corrupt mind and eventually their body.”
[Majmoo al-Fatawa, 10/132]
I'm in love with this quote
“Do not carry the worries of this life because this is for Allah. And do not carry the worries of sustenance because it is from Allah. And do not carry the anxiety for the future because it is in the Hands of Allah.”
— Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله
Sudden realization of how we're not prepared for the life hereafter? How we're just chasing a mirage of worldly desires? We tend to forget that the Dunya is just a test for the Akhirat, and we're badly failing at it.
the prophet ﷺ used to make du'a for things we often overlook like.. barakah in time, protection from anxiety, beneficial knowledge, and a sound heart. sometimes i think we're searching for happiness in complicated places while the sunnah keeps pointing us towards simpler things
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا
“But you prefer the life of this world,”
وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى
“Even though the Hereafter is far better and more lasting.”
— Al Qur’aan [87:16–17]
Don’t let the love of dunya enter into your heart because once it does, the desire for Aakhirah leaves.
Hold dunya in your hands not in your heart,YOU consume dunya don’t let the dunya consume you.
Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
"If you want to see the extent of your Imāan then see how you are in private.
For indeed Imāan does not show it's true extent in two units of prayer or in fasting during the day. But it shows in striving against your soul and desires.”
Abu Darda (رضي الله عنه) said:
"A righteous companion is better than loneliness, and loneliness is better than an evil companion."
📚: Rawḍat al-ʿUqalāʾ, p. 56.
Allah knows that some of you are trying to save your halal marriage while silently asking Him, “Ya Allah, please bring peace back into our home.”
If that is your du’a, this is for you.
Al-Imaam Ibnul Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah, (رحمه الله):
Whoever places his heart with his Lord [will be in] tranquility and relaxation. And whoever sends [his heart] to the people will be struck [by calamities] and will increase in anxiety and sadness.
[Al-Fawaaid, 1/98]
