@ChristoDuPless6@CNN Not a cent of it. If you really think fashion designers at the Met Gala are funded by public tax dollars, you should log off Twitter for a minute and go read a book.
@SherylAHicks @Sacred_suns @SameeraKhan@AOC She didnβt spend a dime on this dressβSheβs just modeling it for the designer for the night. Also, someoneβs clearly never had their hair or makeup doneβ¦ itβs not that expensive
@SelenaCarrion Advocating for schools to be open does NOT equal advocating for inequitable schools. Youβre basically saying close schools because not every students feels included?
@DSAecosocialism Mid/high school science should focus more on environmental studies and climate research, rather than large focuses on space, volcanoes, and other things out of human control.

I've given a survey to now thousands of kids in multiple districts that have asked me to work with them around assessment and grading.
Here are the questions:
1. Do grades help you learn?
2. How do grades make you feel?
3. Why do teachers give grades?
A thread...

@staralixstar42 Yes, yes, yes! Over time I've come to realize that punitive "management" just doesn't build a culture of trust and independence. Set realistic goals for the day, share them with the kids upfront, and help them figure out the best ways to meet those goals.
