@flutterwhat@mokeysniper From what I can see, its the forced Global Illumination (Lumen) which is essentially ray-tracing. They need to implement an option to use static lightmaps instead of software ray-tracing.

@carygolomb Oh, to clarify thats playing Terraria (2D crafting survival) throughout. 50% vol, ~60% brightness, no other accessories. Joy-cons attached when handheld.
@carygolomb That’s reasonable too. My Switch (2017) seems to still achieves around 4 hrs on battery, from 100% (last played May 9). 50/50 dock usage. I’m guessing I have 600+ cycles on it by now, so maybe it’s still above 80% battery life? Not bad battery degradation for almost 8 years. 👍🏽
@AizenLong @VideoCardz Yeah 240Hz at 4K is still niche for the most part, but HDMI 2.1 has already been exceeded by this already active use (on PC at least). Standard consumer devices probably won’t feel this until maybe PS6 or “real” 8K res or such.
