ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb said:
It is not permissible for a Muslim who hears a word from his brother to interpret it in a bad way while he can find for it a good interpretation.
He also said:
Whoever does not give others the benefit of the doubt deprives himself of its benefits.
Some people on social media:
Pass Fatawa about global events like senior scholars.
Discuss military matters like generals.
Issue directives like rulers.
Amazingly they fall into none of these categories.
The semi qualified (or unqualified) are responsible for the chaos.
Many of these people who are defending Iranian attacks on Arab countries,
Sound exactly like the Zionists,
They justify bombing hotels, residential buildings, civilian infrastructure because of "US bases".
In an attempt to counter Zionism, they themselves became Zionists.
Never in the history of the Ummah has it been easier and quicker to accumulate vast amounts of sins than through social media. People, heedless of death and judgement, post things that include
- speaking and acting without proper religious knowledge
- issuing reckless rulings and opinions
- seeking attention and competing for influence
- ignorance, degeneracy, and lies
- rumors and unverified claims
- slander, insults, and ridicule
and bear its burden as far as it reaches.
"وإنَّ العبدَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بالكَلِمةِ من سَخَطِ اللهِ لا يُلْقِي لها بالًا يَهْوِي بها في جهنم" [متفق عليه]
“Indeed, a person may say a word that angers Allah, thinking nothing of it, yet it causes him to fall into Hell.”

Many people utter phrases like "Allah Allah Allah," and this is not a phrase of Tawḥīd as you know. But what do you say about His statement, exalted be He: “𝑆𝑎𝑦: ‘𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡’ 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚 𝑡𝑜 𝑝𝑙𝑢𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑚𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑣𝑒𝑠” [al-Anʿām: 91]?
𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿:
Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbdullāh ibn Bāz رحمه الله (d. 1419H) said:
“This is from the Ṣūfīs. They say: “Allah Allah Allah,” or “Huwa Huwa Huwa (i.e. هو lit He).” This is invalid speech and is not permissible. This is neither part of the Sharīʿa nor a legitimate form of Dhikr. Saying “Allah Allah” is one of the practices of the Ṣūfīs, who introduced acts of worship that have no foundation in the Sharīʿa.
These people are present in many lands, in al-Shām, in Miṣr, in Africa, and in every place, and they have their own specific forms of Dhikr that they invented, and innovated practices that are invalid. It is not appropriate to imitate them in this; rather, they should be advised and warned against it. When they gather, they make this Dhikr: “Allah Allah Allah Allah,” or “Huwa Huwa Huwa.” This is objectionable.
As for His statement, exalted and glorified be He: “𝑆𝑎𝑦: ‘𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡’ 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚 𝑡𝑜 𝑝𝑙𝑢𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑚𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑣𝑒𝑠” [al-Anʿām: 91], this follows what came before it. It means: Allah is the one who revealed [the scriptures]. The predicate is omitted, and the subject has its predicate omitted, similar to when you say: “Who created you?” You respond: “Allah,” meaning “Allah is the one who created you.” This is well-understood speech. Or if you say: “Who brings the dead to life?” You respond: “Allah.” “Who did such-and-such?” “Who sent down the Torah and who sent down the Injīl?” “Allah.” This is complete speech.
And the rule is: The predicate is omitted when there is something indicating it. If someone says to you: “Who stood up?” you say: “Zayd,” meaning “Zayd stood up.” The verb is omitted because there is something indicating it.”
