I love my children. When they don’t follow the rules and make mistakes, there are consequences for their behavior. You suggest that following US law…and enforcing consequences when laws are violated…is not love. God says to love your neighbor. He also says,
"Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him." - Proverbs 13:24 ESV.
@wakeupnj Let’s move more money from the RED counties. That’ll fix it. 🙄
Just flip the switch at the BOE offices. That would be enough to get everyone in an uproar.
11 years??? Who’s running PSE&G? No wonder electricity costs so much.
We agree! End the war in Iran.
However, your insistence to blame Trump for everything is obnoxious. The war definitely isn’t helping. Why not take a moment to educate your constituents about how the system works? There is way more at play here than you let on.
The US produces more diesel than we consume. Wait…what??? That’s right. We have so much we can’t use it all. Then why the heck is diesel so expensive? Because Ukraine has been attacking the Russian refineries which is driving up the price globally. Our US companies are selling to the highest bidder as you would assume they would. We compete against those prices.
Why don’t you try suggesting a new system to help us actually solve the real problems instead of spending your time creating performative outrage like all of your political cronies in Washington?
You are why term limits should be instituted.
If God’s greatest command is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind then why try to silence God in our life? How does loving our neighbor require silence from one side? Liberty for all can’t mean liberty to some. You can’t eat your cake and have it too.
James Talarico: “I’m not just supposed to love my Christian neighbors. I don’t want the government forcing a religion down my throat so why would I do that to my Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, Agnostic, Atheist neighbors? That’s not love. I think we need a Senator who is gonna confront Christian nationalism and do it not just on constitutional grounds, but on theological grounds. I will always stand up for the separation of church and state”
This is performative outrage. You don’t need a law degree to understand that TPUSA would not and should not respond to any questions from an independent investigation initiated by UVU or anyone else. Your insistence on this topic is a waste of everyone’s time. I’m sorry I wasted a few minutes this morning giving this any consideration.
Testified in Trenton today about a task force bill (S685) to push electric vehicles on commercial (plows, buses, trash trucks, etc)
Had to shorten the speech but here it is fully intact...
My name is Michael from Wake Up NJ
I’m here against S685.
This bill creates a Fleet Conversion Task Force to study turning fleets into “zero-emission vehicles.”
Can anyone explain to me what Zero Emission means?
Zero-emission, in this room, means no exhaust out the tailpipe. That is all it means. It does not mean the truck was mined, built, shipped, charged, and scrapped with no emissions. Electricity is not emission-free. A battery is not emission-free. Lithium, nickel, and cobalt come out of the ground. Factories run on power. Charging the devices uses the grid, so Calling the whole vehicle zero-emission is marketing. Writing it into statute is stupid
And if the plan is to charge those batteries with solar, stop pretending that is clean either. A spent nuclear fuel assembly is small, tracked, and locked in engineered storage. Dead solar panels are bulky e-waste. They contain lead solder, and some thin-film panels contain cadmium. Recycling often costs more than landfilling, so most U.S. panels still go in the ground or get shipped out. Per unit of electricity, solar leaves far more mass to dispose of than nuclear. You cannot tax us to electrify fleets and then wave away the pile of glass and heavy metals you create to charge them.
California already ran this. Advanced Clean Fleets. Quotas. Then delays, exemptions, trucks two to four times the price of diesel, batteries that steal payload, chargers that weren’t ready. They repealed the private-fleet pieces after the collision with reality. Do not study New Jersey into the same ditch.
As I always ask with every bill, does this make us more affordable? It doesn’t. You already tack millions onto our electric bills through the Societal Benefits Charge and that over the years push "green" crap programs like charging stations, wind farms, clean equity,. Hundreds of millions a year, whether we asked for it or not
Hell our electric bills have gone through the roof ever since Dems here championer the closure of power plants all in the name of climate change
But I'm sure this task force will pretend electrifying commercial fleets won’t raise demand and rates. You do not know what’s best for a plow, a packer truck, or a small fleet that cannot sit on a charger for hours all for a full court push against gas cars. Just remember, the people want choice, not a mandate.
Vote no on S685. Don’t sell a tailpipe slogan as zero. Don’t put it on our bills, we the people of NJ have suffered enough with the green push in this state
@SenWarren You are suggesting that this is worse than previous administrations. There is no evidence of that. You are part of the problem and an example of why there should be term limits.
Then I guess you also have a problem with Comcast / Xfinity who owns MSNBC, CNBC, and NBC News. Oh…and definitely you don’t support Paramount Skydance who owns CBS. And you certainly don’t approve of ABC News who is owned by Disney who also owns Hulu. Right? We need you to have the same level of resistance to those partnerships as you do to Fox News. But it isn’t the principle that you oppose. It is the fact that someone doesn’t see the world the same way you do that really bothers you. So they must be treated differently.
🚨 Welcome to the $15 billion California High Speed Rail to nowhere:
Since 2008 California has spent $15 billion and has not connected a single city or laid a single track. It is now projected to cost more than $200 billion to finish despite being proved nearly impossible to complete.
In 2008 China also announced a high-speed rail and has now connected the entire country with over 30,000 miles while California has connected 0 miles.
Over $500 million has gone to contractors who could not work, homes are currently being built on the alignment, and farmers will lose their farms. In this video I go down the alignment of the high speed rail exposing the failures and confront the legislators in charge of this absolute disaster of a project.
A prime example of fraud, waste and abuse of the taxpayer dollar.
@GavinNewsom@realDonaldTrump Another politician infected with Liarbetes. This is a shameful distortion of the facts. You are no different than all the rest.
@GOP_is_Gutless “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” - Matthew 7:15 ESV
This person is a modern day witch. She practices witchcraft.
The Secretary of Defense is not a war declaring official. He is commanded by the President of the United States of America. He has a responsibility to follow orders unless he is asked to do something illegal.
Every US president since the 1940’s has acted in the same manner as the current president regardless of their political allegiances. If you want to fight these practices, do so in Congress the way the rules are designed. If you don’t like the rules, change the rules.
The article you reference suggests that there is an opportunity to educate healthcare professionals about how to properly treat this condition. If you truly cared about women and children, you would see that. You are driven by your bias and agenda instead of helping people who need your help. Suggesting that women are dying because of an abortion “ban” is inaccurate and irresponsible.
There is no way that you actually believe this. Which means that you are intentionally manipulating the narrative and stirring racial tensions. Why do you do this? What is it that you gain by doing this?🤔🧐
The worst part is that there actually is a story here. Just not the headline you want. That story is about the suicide rates of Black Americans. Suicide rates among this group rose sharply over the last decade (roughly 53% from 2014–2024), especially among young Black men, even as overall U.S. suicide numbers have been relatively stable around 48,800–49,000 recently.
In your position, you could probably have a positive impact on this issue. Don’t let your bias blind you from actually doing good to the community you claim to want to defend.
Wages aren’t set to guarantee that every FT job can support a standalone “FT lifestyle.” They’re set by what it takes to fill the role at market rates, plus whatever the law requires. When Starbucks or Target posts $18/hr and still gets qualified people willing to take the job, that’s the market talking.
What you’re asking for is a living wage. That’s a different thing. Push the floor high enough that every FT schedule covers a one-bedroom plus a cushion in every market, and you’ll raise costs, change prices, and change how many of those jobs exist. How big those effects would be is an empirical question.
