Dear El Salvador.. I know there’s a boom in tourism. I know prices are going way way up but that doesn’t mean you can charge 300-400 dollars a night and use cheap pillows, cheap green chemical hand soap for your bathrooms, no internet connection, cheap mattresses/sheets, and offer breakfast made with greasy seed oils.

You’re offering a large part of their experience that they will share with friends and family at home. We want people to say how beautiful the country was. The people. The food, the HOTELS.. how epic it was and not talk about the over priced stay that normally costs $40 in any other Latin country.

All I’m saying is that if you’re going to charge premium prices you must offer premium services and amenities. We have hundreds if not thousands of friends, volunteers, donors who fly down annually to El Salvador and this is their number one complaint.
