You could save SO many television debates & think pieces about the NHS by just showing a simple chart.
Underfunding the NHS was unfathomably dangerous & had consequences. More & more people are dying because of that each year.
It's that simple. You can't cut corners with lives.
Government data shows that net government debt when the Tories came into office in 2010 was £995 billion. At the end of March 2022 is was £2,342 billion. That is an increase of £1,347 billion, representing 57.5% of all government borrowing. They are the biggest borrowers, ever.
Last week I recorded this warning to u and to Conservative leadership candidates that a financial cataclysm'd hit the UK this winter unless there is action.
Then the Oct price cap was predicted to rise 65% taking typical bills to £3,240/yr. Now, its UP 77% to £3,500.
Pls watch
The Tories have increased the UK’s national debt by £1,300,000,000,000 (£1.3 trillion) since 2010 using their preferred accounting. That means they have well over doubled it, and every forecast says they’re going to keep doing that. Their talk of repaying debt is pure nonsense.
When are the media going to start reporting on all the extra deaths that are occurring in the UK?
Over the last TEN weeks, excess deaths are at 10%.
1,005 additional deaths each week!
The @BBCNews should be all over this. Or do they not do "public service" anymore?
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Nadhim Zahawi, has been sending threatening letters to people investigating his tax affairs. The letters are designed to intimidate & say they're confidential and can't be published.

On 16th March, 1968 Warrant Officer Hugh Thompson Jnr was flying helicopter recon for an attack on an alleged Viet Cong-controlled village in Vietnam.
As the attack developed, Thompson realised he was witnessing something something else:
A massacre.
He decided to act. /1 🧵
From 2001 to 2004, Rishi Sunak was an analyst for the investment bank, Goldman Sachs. He then went on to be a partner in two highly profitable hedge funds.
In his last budget Sunak slashed the bank surcharge from 8% to 3%, a tax gift to bankers of over £7 billion.
🔴 We can’t go on like this. #COVID is causing massive disruptions to the NHS, schools, workplaces and travel.
The @IndependentSAGE '7 point plan' offers an alternative. Thanks to @VIckiGSP for this great animation.

"It just feels as if the government isn't working, get on with it, man."
@RhonddaBryant was "very cross" with Mark Spencer, the Leader of the House of Commons, questioning him on the activity of government.
"I find it frustrating that I've not met her... I think the home secretary should speak to me"
Independent Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration David Neal has not met Home Secretary Priti Patel since being appointed in his role in March 2021

Too little too late!
For 2 years now should have used car parks to erect 100 bed field hospitals AND had a call out to Red Cross & St John's for Volunteers then ask Army.
Would then buy for a properly funded plan.

Question I'd like all potential Conservative leaders to answer (RT if agree)
The energy price cap's predicted to rise 64% in Oct taking a typical bill to £3,244/yr; & rise again in Jan to £500/yr more than when May's help package was announced. What'll u do to avoid this & when?
