Listening to players, figuring out the pain points, and responding to them, not once but over and over and over and over is how you build a brand of player trust and worthy of attention.
I'm happy Overwatch is rewarded but more so that the devs did the slow work to earn it.
Player trust isn't something you can just buy into. It takes a long period of proven commitment and the attention to delivering a great gameplay experience.
It's a tough expectation for any game, especially a competitive one to be perfect on release and changes take time.
