@joeye6 @aviationbrk It may have been important - depending on the conditions (runway length, weather, etc.), however it would have taken much longer than 20 minutes to dump any significant amount of fuel so I suspect they simply returned and landed after running the appropriate abnormal checklists.

@PlaneBusiness Loved flying the 757-200 - what a sports car. The -300 was a pig with wings though - hated flying it - when full, it couldn’t fly above the weather; was kind of like a MD80 in performance and had super fast rotate and ref speeds - no fun on short runways with gust additives!
