@jon_wertheim When the media takes a side it is no longer journalism. And the media coverage of her coaching situation definitely sided with the opinion of the WTA over the position of the player herself - who then and now was a legal adult (by any country’s definition). Shameful.

@pavyg Both are examples of a subtle but pervasive misogyny that exists in sports and makes people - even other women - uncomfortable about seeing a woman unafraid to be so openly competitive, hungry, and yes angry. Aryna is engaging in battle, not playing a game. And she’ll be back.
