@garrytan p 16 and p 23 of the source material says a sample data center creates 215 recurring jobs. It also lists 2,057 "infrastructure" jobs which is ambiguously derived without any referenced source. I get that intellectual integrity is passé and the consulting group is cracked though.
everyone's using AI to "design logos"
i'm using it to build entire visual systems in minutes.
the difference between amateurs and pros isn't the tool.
it's knowing exactly what to ask for.
spent hours on this one prompt style alone:
"construct a modular brand identity system with geometric logomark, 3 colorways (primary, inverted, monochrome), scalable from 16px favicon to billboard resolution. swiss brutalist grid, golden ratio proportions, mathematical precision. export as vector-ready specifications."
like + reply "SYSTEM" for my brand prompt pack.
(must be following for DM)
I like @fibery_io's user-respecting design pattern here -> Sometimes a bot (aka searching the docs) is enough, other times they've delivered thoughtful human support and actually shipped fixes. Refreshing to choose.
i turned off autocorrect on the iphone bc it consistently butchered actual english words and any new terminology , i miss the emoji suggestions because i would actually use them, but not enough to tinker with the settings

Last time I toured apartments I was shown some nifty units that have an automated space saving closet. After 10+ years of IT all I could imagine is the day I need to get dressed for a meeting and my closets back-end is down. #optionaldystopia#smartdevices
Woke up because my AI controlled bed is too cold. Went to adjust temperature and I can’t because the Eight Sleep app is currently broken. Can’t adjust by hand because I have a Pod3, not the upgraded Pod4 with physical controls.
Now I am stuck in a cold bed. This feels dystopian.
I was fired from the Google Cloud team today.
During a routine maintenance task, I renamed a production Kubernetes cluster to yølø-1.
Turns out the system wasn’t designed to handle extended Latin characters. The cascade failure brought down a non-trivial portion of the internet for several hours.
If you’re looking for an expert in distributed systems, incident response, and the risks of non-ASCII naming conventions, let’s talk.
my girlfriend bought chatgpt plus after seeing me research and getting citation links
her reward: no clickable links trapped in secret UX a/b testing gulag with no feedback button.
maybe someday paying users will taste the sweet fruit of basic functionality @OpenAI#darkpatterns
The personal health interventions we currently have are so well known but crude (diet, exercise, sleep) that applying tech to health/wellness usually just feels like inventing diff forms of police to me.
The rings, the watches, the bands all just feel like the sleep police, the exercise police, the diet police, etc. We already know what we should be doing, and the tech is there to police us. I can’t think of how to do much better, though, given our current crude understanding of interventions that can help.
