By a 55-33 margin, Michiganders are not open to data centers being built within 25 miles of their home (per Glengariff poll from May). That number surpasses 60% for Michigan Democrats.

At the ribbon cutting of a data center Saline Township just last month, Whitmer was caught on a hot mic telling Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk “We're used to people saying 'fuck no,' and then doing it anyway.” She very openly longer cares about what Michiganders want.

I am glad that you suddenly care about labor unions, but a couple of unions wanting to get another construction job should not outweigh the desires of the majority of your constituents.

As a popularist, I would have thought you would be in favor of a policy that is supported by a majority of Democrats and Republicans, non-college and college grads, white and Black voters, and in every region of the state.

NEW: A second ex-wife of David Brouillette, the ICE agent who killed Joan Durán Guerrero in Maine, Lucinda Brouillette, issued a statement this morning. In it she says "If you were to ask me whether I believe David Brouillette is capable of this level of extreme violence, my answer is unequivocally yes."

"Throughout the years, I brought my concerns to law enforcement, the courts, and the Department of Health and Human Services. I tried to explain what I believed was a long-standing pattern of abuse, intimidation, manipulation, and controlling behavior because I genuinely feared where those behaviors could lead. Imagine going to a car dealership and asking the cost of a car you want to order. The dealer tells you $2500. You pay it, thinking "what a great deal". Then, before you go in to pick it up, you get a text or an email saying the manufacturer is owed $25,000 and must be paid before you go in to pick it up. You think "well, I thought the $2500 was too good a deal" and you pay it. The car is delivered, and you go home. Three months later, you get a bill from the guy who transported your vehicle to the dealership saying you owe them $3,000 for delivering the vehicle. Then a month later another $2,000 bill from the guy who installed the tires. Then another $1,000 from the guy who put the oil in the car. And on and on. If you don't pay a bill, your credit is destroyed. THAT is the American Health System today.
