@jacks_works Oh no, poor Mio!
Presumably her trauma was from before becoming a chimera, so I suppose she can't be too unstable or they wouldn't have let her do so?
Or maybe that's just my cope to avoid feeling sad for yet another of your characters. π
@jacks_works Plus if your sentient AIs function similarly to a human mind, perhaps a certain degree of anthropomorphism is required to prevent disassociation and keep them mentally stable?
I know I'd certainly want to keep the living killing machine on my squad happy. Plus she's cute.
@jacks_works I could absolutely see a design like Jane's being a result of trying to balance mission requirements as well as being expressive enough to bond with teammates, while not being visually so human it violates the laws of the setting.
I think it makes a lot of sense.
@jacks_works The themes explored in your art are extremely interesting and I'd hate if you felt you had to pivot away from them because some people let their (justified) grievances with LLMs and gen-ai slop taint their view of works featuring AI or robotic characters in general.
@jacks_works Man, I really hope that nobody is so disillusioned with the state of real-life 'AI' that they'd look at Jane and be reminded of how much they hate ChatGPT.
You can mimic wind using a camera-facing mesh with a panning effect. It can be a great way to fake a windy fire pit FX for example, no sprites or subUVs are needed #realtimevfx#ue5#vfx#gamedev#unrealengine
@jacks_works Are the batteries that caught fire part of her equipment or part of her?
I'm not sure how much of her body is artificial, does she have batteries?
Either way - oof, poor Jane.
@jacks_works Ah, that'd be a shame. Personally I've been finding the storyboards to be incredibly interesting!
Try not to let self-doubt get you down, All it takes is a look at your page to see you are an extremely creative person!
