@RobyPoto Thoughts on why Flick insists on getting LW who are runners (Gordon/Rapha) instead of one runner one wide dribbler to get the most of Balde’s inside runs and free up lamine? Is it needed in his system to have an inside forward LW? What are the consequences of a wide winger?

@xeussinho Very nice. My only questions would be about Lukeba’s aerial ability and I’m not sure how Porro would do since Flick’s rightback is usually a centerback Hybrid (Kounde, Eric), because it becomes the 3rd center back

I chose Hall because he is good at practically anything but in this system would hold width for Raphinha or Gordon while Nusa would hold width for Balde. Unfortunately, Flick prefers a less flexible tactical set up, which I wish someone could explain why.

This is like 80% my “Dream XI” for the next years (kept it little realistic based on flick’s plans). Left wing is chaotic because what I would prefer are two left wingers who compete: one dribbler, one runner, who pair with LBs, one better inside, one outside (balde, cancelo)

I wanted Nusa instead of Gordon because he was a different profile to Rapha, but Flick insists on the inside forward LW + Playmaker RW, but it limits Balde’s ability to drive inside. Having a left winger who can hold width would complement Balde perfectly

Thankfully, the expected arrival of Rodri will fix many of the club’s defensive issues. With Spain, we saw Cubarsi give one of the best CB campaigns ever with Laporte, who is not close to this “Prime Van Dijk” profile. Cubarsi also flourished with Iñigo, who has a similar profile

In my opinion, the LCB issue at Barcelona should ideally be solved by looking at Pau Cubarsi and finding the perfect partner for him based on his strengths and weaknesses. Said partner would be left footed and ideally fast, tall, and strong.

When I think of a left footed CB, who is fast, strong, intelligent, aerially dominant, and a great passer of the ball I think of prime Virgil Van Dijk. Obviously, there is no one on the market like this, but this is a hypothetical.
