@DMRDartford @newt7215 @chloroquinecake Do you drive your car 24 hours a day? The point you seem totally incapable of grasping is that an EV charges while not in use - whether that's because I'm doing a short trip on foot or asleep or shopping is irrelevant!

It's called "thinking ahead" - calling in to top up when passing a petrol station instead of making a special trip. But not always being able to because the queue is too long. Ok?

@DMRDartford @newt7215 @chloroquinecake And yes, I could leave my car - any car - to do the school run (we were actually the weird family that walked a whole half mile!) But I would have got back from shopping and an EV would be charging whilst I was doing something other than sitting in a queue!

Oh FFS. I haven't read the article but if that headline is reflecting the content accurately you might as well grade them on the number of wet playtimes they have to deal with!

Ofsted is not fit for ANY purpose - we need a massive rethink of school "inspection"

@DMRDartford @newt7215 @chloroquinecake I've certainly had to wait in fuel queues and back in the days when I had school runs to worry about I had to leave a petrol station on more than one occasion because the queue was longer than the time I had available. With an EV it could be charging while I walk to get the kids.
