guy shares cropped screenshot of conversation where ai agent configured entire server for him but that cropped part is a funny last message where it refused to set online-mode=false
so many vultures flock to say "omg he uses AI to flip one boolean is he stupid"
@mudmichigander@BluebriarArts do you understand that this is not all he did? like it's a cropped screenshot from a conversation where agent might've done countless other things for them?
like you miss entire point why people use agent in the first place, it's not just replacement for notepad app
@deepfates syncthing pretty good for that, it has its own relays for global discovery but feels better combined with tailscale, there's also taildrop for one time quick file transfers
I use that for my vault and media sync, haven't found anything good for git of that kind though
@max_spero_ Entire reddit is so trashed with fake text posts, yet the most they could deal with is few AI images or videos someone posts once in a while
@AISafetyMemes Times are getting increasingly faster and slow old ways of doing things were already outdated in the internet era, more so in current rapid AI progress era
@JoeWilsonEQ1@SkyeSharkie@KeyTryer clearly he's addressing how creepy it looks and not the fact that it's AI
also it doesn't even look like AI generated video more like how agent in 3D RL environment learns to move weirdly but not sure about that
@KeyTryer explicitly exempts F2P, so basically "motivate big game companies to adopt gacha model where progress is barely possible for F2P and then eventually it goes EOL disappearing without a trace"
@bee_fumo fuck ai drama I'm more interested what kind of issue happened, why it wasn't caught and how to harden making same mistake in the future and continue using AI with better testing in place
@flowersslop chinese trash cameras that come with garbage android app already offer services where your footage gets processed on their clouds and labeled for events and objects (animals, humans, cars etc.)
main issue here is that general consumer won't bother with selfhost hardware setup
