Namibiaโs 36th Independence Day reminds us that this country belongs to all who call it home โ built through the sacrifices of many, sustained by the resilience and effort of its people.
The journey has not always been smooth, but just look over the horizon and realise how far we have come-together and how much further we can go-together. There is strength in this land, and a nation that stands with dignity and promise. A Namibia that others travel far to experience, and where, albeit for a short time, they begin to feel how easy it is to call this land home.
Today, we honour that journey, and the responsibility that comes with it. Proudly Namibian. ๐ณ๐ฆ
3 million Namibians.
Only 15,228 employers.
That means one employer carries nearly 200 people who need work.
This is not merely an unemployment challenge.
It is a job-creation crisis.
Economic dignity starts with opportunity โ and opportunity starts with people willing to build businesses and hire others.
No nation can sustain itself if it consumes its future faster than it creates jobs.
