@jmduke@tanvirraj I’d be interested in seeing how you mange versioning branching behind the scenes too, are you doing stuff like the ORM wrapper here in your API layer and having different endpoints? Or branching in-code? Great blog ty!
@hausdorff_space https://t.co/bwuEE7v04J Similarly found this "alt-renderer" for Codegen via the React model to be immediately "get-able" in a way other Codegen tools aren't!
Figma is the greatest software on the web of all time:
1. written in c++ & compiled to wasm, one of the first to take an early bet and use it in prod in 2017
2. basically rewrote the entire browser rendering stack to run in the browser
3. wrote their own CRDTs for sync/collab, they basically made CRDTs cool
Disagree, way more common to be asking yourself 'where is our OpenAI config defined' than 'where is our API key config defined' and grouping those together is important.
Reading this Haskell wiki post changes how I name variables
prev:
OPENAI_API_KEY
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY
now:
API_KEY_OPENAI
API_KEY_ANTHROPIC
(or whatever, not just api key naming)
because the "api key" part is static, and it doesn't change, therefore it should be on the left
@alexalbert__ beginning and beginning for a projects api, we looooove projects internally and use them a lot - would love if we could add stuff dynamic or migrate old knowledge basis easily
He’d calculated that doing this to those people - that have done absolutely nothing bar be a marginalised employee - he’d gain some credibility amongst the right. I won’t forget this and would encourage others to do the same.
I won’t betray my trans friends and colleagues.
Found the recent Zuckerberg comments on affordances for transgender employees at Meta some of the most pathetic & bullying of the moment.
He’d clearly had it play on his mind - and went out of his way to take a vengeful action that’ll impact what, 5 or 6 employees total.

the r-wing backlash to trans folks is unwarranted and weird
the folks who are jumping on the anti trans stuff to fit in with some vibe shift look like pussies without moral backbone
@AcidAunt Loads of it aged super badly - and I'm not sure there's anything less cool rn, but of the stuff that's actually good out of that scene it is up there w/ "Blanked" & "Router" for me
Khan is the first Mayor of London to ever sack the Met commissioner over their competency, and the candidate the Conservatives put up last time said this was “unfair” and “did not follow due process”. I’m sorry, but if you want to blame phone theft on anyone- it’s not the mayor!
I had mine stolen recently and it ended up in Finsbury Park. Went to check it out the next day and there’s a load of lads on bikes just chilling by the tennis courts guarding something. Then my phone went to Logix IT, based out of a house in Stonebridge Park. Now it’s in China.
Over the course of a few commutes this week (the tube not having wifi - actually good?) I read the DeltaLake paper https://t.co/49DDrCdnjB, this is absolutely one of those things where the core idea (put the transcation log in cloud storage) is relatively simple, but ends up
