Callan was only 8 months old, and unlike Cora and Dawson, he did not die immediately that night—doctors temporarily restored his heartbeat, but he had suffered catastrophic oxygen deprivation and died three days later. The medical examiner testified that his injuries were consistent with ligature strangulation and that his cause of death was complications of mechanical asphyxia.

Callan Clancy was only 8 months old.

He was the youngest of Lindsay and Patrick Clancy’s three children.

On January 24, 2023, prosecutors say Lindsay used an exercise band as a ligature around Callan’s neck, just as she did with his older siblings, Cora and Dawson.

Callan was found unresponsive in the basement.

But unlike his brother and sister, Callan still had a heartbeat after doctors worked desperately to save him.

He was transferred to Boston Children’s Hospital.

He had suffered devastating oxygen deprivation to his brain.

For three days, his family lived with the reality that this tiny baby was still here physically, while doctors tried to determine whether there was any hope.

There wasn’t.

Callan died on January 27, 2023.

During Lindsay Clancy’s trial, the medical examiner testified that the injuries around Callan’s neck were consistent with ligature strangulation and that he died from complications of mechanical asphyxia.

He was 8 months old.

He had no understanding of mental illness.
No understanding of medications.
No understanding of courtrooms, diagnoses, defenses, rallies or pink shirts.

He was a baby.

And before this case became a debate about Lindsay Clancy, it was the story of three children whose lives were taken.

Parents who say sh*t like, "after everything I've done for you" don't understand the role. As a parent, you are not allowed to hold anything you do for your children over their head. Period. You brought them into this world. So it is your duty to clothe them, to feed them, to protect them, to make sure that they have direction for school, for their job, for their life, that's the role of a parent. Holding things over your kid's head like the amount of money or time they cost you in order to get them to do something you want them to do is straight up manipulation that is not parenting. They don't owe you sh*t and they deserve your love for free.

Your wife is not a guest in your family. Your family are guests in your marriage because your wife is the foundation of the family you are building. Anyone who disrespects her is disrespecting you and a man fails the moment he allows friends, family, other women or even his own children to mistreat his wife. If she has to defend herself against your family, you are forcing her to question whether you truly have her back in the moment she stops feeling protected, she stops feeling safe. And when a woman no longer feels safe, respected or prioritized in her marriage, she stopped seeing her husband as a protector.

Sleep deprivation is quite literally a torture method! We know prolonged sleep disruption will absolutely dismantle a person psychologically. They use it to make people go INSANE

Which is why I don’t think postpartum mothers get remotely enough credit. You’re being woken every two hours, hormones doing acrobatics, body recovering from birth and you’re remaining functional bc you’re hopelessly in love with the tiny blob you’ve just spawned.

Breastfeeding is the easiest option compared to all others for feeding a baby, if our goal is maximizing sleep and mental health for the mother. You can cosleep while you breastfeed. You can read a book while you breastfeed. You can eat lunch while you breastfeed. You can watch a movie, meditate etc. Plus no bottles to clean. Pumping is meant to be for preparing for a baby sitter occasionally or if there’s some serious physical issue with the mother or baby that prevents latching. Otherwise the pump culture is created by these companies to sell you their products and make money off of an otherwise free and wonderful method.
