What have we done in Europe?

The stadium was creaking five years ago, yet we have no plans to upgrade it.

We have no functional football department, using data analytics that are at the same level as Airdrie.

A stale Board with no leaders.

A football academy that doesn’t produce footballers for Celtic.

The club’s PR department is non-existent.

Fans are held in contempt - ultras & fan media banned, and no fan forum since May.

Lording it up domestically with no real competition against sides with a fraction of our budget, whilst building no inbuilt foundations for the future.

I have met him once and you are correct, Michael Nicholson has no presence, vision or ambition whatsoever.

He may have been a decent club lawyer but he was a novice with absolutely no track record when we appointed him as CEO. A rookie who has stumbled from one disaster to the next, aided and abetted by his partner in crime, CFO Chris McKay.

He has presided over three failed transfer windows on the bounce. The one before that, we overpaid for Engels, Trusty & Idah due to the absence of any kind of negotiating ability.

The deal for Idah, in particular, was enough for Nicholson to come under serious scrutiny. When we brought him in on loan, Norwich had been in negotiations with Hellas Verona with an option to buy of £3.5m. We brought him in with no option, and you know the rest.

Nicholson had oversight of Tisdale’s appointment, failing to replace Kyogo or Kuhn, losing out on Champions League football to Kairat, banning the ultras and fan media, Rodgers’ messy departure, allowing O’Neill to leave prior to three huge games, the Nancy debacle, and continued transfer window failures.

Not to mention the relationships with agents and other clubs that have been destroyed, leading to more difficulties in future transfer windows.

Michael Nicholson’s tenure as CEO of Celtic has been an unmitigated disaster and he should be relieved of his duties at the first opportunity.
