@KuzmaKatherine@drjervin@TED_ED A5 reply. #EDUC2100 This is a great video explaining why caffeine may not be the study tool it is cracked up to be. I will be sure to show this to my brother and future students. :)
@drjervin@TED_ED A5 #EDUC2100 TED is a very cool resource that I was for the most part unfamiliar with. My favorite TedEd is a video explaining static electricity. I love this video because it is a simple way to teach science to a middle school classroom. #science#scied#education
@CorinneWinsor@drjervin A4 reply #EDUC2100 This is such an overlooked part of teaching but is so important. Sometimes just talking to your students about their interests is the best way to develop a relationship. You don’t have to talk about school all the time.
@drjervin A4 #EDUC2100 I will incorporate student-based and personalized projects. To do this, you must first develop a professional yet personal relationship with each student. Out of this personal relationship, you can then know what works for your students in a classroom.
@GraeffBenjamin@drjervin I love how you pointed out what the role of the teacher should not be as well as what it should be! You are so right when you say “we have less of a role of just presenting facts.” The teacher must do so much more!
@drjervin A3 #EDUC2100 Teaching in the 21st Century means getting the students engaged with their learning through the understanding of skill sets that should be used the rest of their lives.
@drjervin Q2 #EDUC2100 One way I would make “Learning Integration by Design” is do student led projects that require design and then execution. An example is to create a product project. After the kids create a product I would give them fake money to buy other kids’ products.
@GraeffBenjamin@drjervin I am also a visual learner and YouTube is a powerful tool! I can’t wait to use cool science experiment videos in the classroom
