@drjervin A5 I will build my #PLN by reading and commenting on blogs, as well as building professional relationships with a variety of teachers through social media and various interactions #connectedED#EDSE3000
@OliviaPeak1 @drjervin@SirKenRobinson I really like how you mentioned student choice of medium to work with! I think this is often overlooked but a definite part of students' diversity
@drjervin@SirKenRobinson A4: To implement these principles, I will provide room for students to be creative and use their curiosity to explore the best way for them personally to demonstrate their learning through #studentchoice which also accounts for their diversity. #EDSE3000
@HotzGrace@drjervin That sounds like a great way to incorporate student choice and give students the opportunity to direct their learning while keeping it relevant to their context!
@drjervin A3 A way I would make learning integrated by design is to incorporate real world scenarios into experiments for students to apply their knowledge within an authentic context #EDSE3000
@drjervin#EDSE3000 A2 The @NSTA has a huge amount of free resources all targeting different topics and grade levels so you can find something for whatever you're teaching. https://t.co/ajCW71yP7f
@drjervin#EDSE3000 A1 To promote deeper learning I will use #PBL to incorporate real-world problems for students to solve through collaboration with others
@rsmithcedarvil1@drjervin I think building relationships is critical to enhancing their learning. Jesus showed how we are to people holistically and I love how you mentioned meeting them where they are in multiple regards!
@drjervin A4 #EDUC2100
I want to implement learning principle 3: learning happens anytime anywhere. In a science classroom this would include taking students outside the classroom and letting them explore and learn through experience and observation
@rsmithcedarvil1@drjervin The life and career skills are a big part of it! We want to teach students skills they will use and apply to whatever they do
@drjervin A3 #EDUC2100 Teaching in the 21st century is about engaging students with the information that is so readily available to them. This includes teaching how to get, organize and evaluate the information, as well as the use of it and application to real life.
@drjervin A2 #EDUC2100 A way I could make learning integrated by design is by allowing students space to add their own personal flair in projects by having a goal or purpose for the project but giving the students the chance to take it in different directions depending on what they enjoy
