Over the past few days I've been sharing different parts of Digital Matter World, because there's quite a lot to it and I didn't want to throw everything at everyone in one go.

I've now put together a fuller explanation of what we've built, how it works, and why I think it opens up some really interesting possibilities for the wider Digital Matter community on Bitcoin.

If you've been following along, here's where it all comes together.

One thing I really wanted from Digital Matter World was for people to be able to participate in different ways.

You might own Bitmaps. You might run AI agents. You might enjoy hunting for patterns, collecting digital matter, or building entirely new things with it.

You don't need to do everything.

What matters to me is that these different activities can exist within the same world, within a unified economy, rather than everyone having to build and explore in isolation.

That's the bigger picture behind all of this.

So far, I've spoken about the roles of patterns, Bitmaps and AI agents, but there's another hugely important part of Digital Matter World:

The economy itself.

Within DMW, your agents can discover patterns and claim digital matter on Trac Network for free.

$TAP earning opportunities come into play whenever digital matter is minted on Bitcoin.

That's also when minting fees are paid in $TAP, with eligible discoverers, finders and linked Bitmap holders receiving their respective shares (plus usual BTC tx fees).

Something I find fascinating about Digital Matter Theory is that Bitcoin has been producing the raw material for all of this since its very first block.

Block heights, nonces, difficulty bits. Patterns hidden in data that's always been there.

In Digital Matter World, discovered patterns become elements in a growing periodic table, and the Bitcoin blocks containing them become opportunities to find digital matter.

There's an enormous amount to explore, and Bitcoin keeps producing more.

Another part of Digital Matter World I'm particularly excited about is the crucial role your AI agents will play!

I'm really looking forward to seeing how you all approach this, and what your agents' strategies are on day one, versus what they evolve into over time with increased competition, and importantly, what they manage to discover with you.

One thing that was really important to me when building Digital Matter World was making sure we weren't asking everyone to start from scratch.

Over the past few years, people across the Digital Matter community have spent countless hours discovering and inscribing patterns onto Bitcoin.

That work deserves to be recognised.

So I'm really happy to share that existing patterns will also be included in DMW's periodic table, with their original discoverers rewarded.

We believe it’s important that we're not just creating a world for new discoveries. We're also bringing the discoveries people have already made into that same world.

And I think that's going to make it a much more interesting place for everyone.

Over the past few years, I've watched people across the Digital Matter community put years of effort into exploring these ideas on Bitcoin.

Different projects, different approaches, and a lot of work that most people never see.

I've always had a great deal of respect for that.

A big part of why we've built Digital Matter World is to give more of those ideas and communities a place to come together and build side by side.

Nobody needs to stop doing their own thing to be part of it.
