As someone who didn't go to college and learned to program, I HIGHLY recommend not going to college and learning a trade. College is a money trap, that is slower and less effective at teaching you what you need to know.
If you're telling a teenager to skip college and just build a business instead, you're giving out horrible advice that could hurt that person FOREVER.
Stop it.
Efficiency Tip:
If you need to do something, but you really don't want to, set a timer and force yourself to do it for 15 minutes. Then don't do it anymore for another day.
This will help you tackle even large projects that you don't want to do, but need to get finished.
At companies, they teach you to use "professional language".
Professional language means saying whatever you wish to say with all the clarity and forcefulness removed from it.
You say "we are considering various options" instead of "fuck no".
Professional language is shit.

There's a lot of overlap between developers and board game geeks.
Shared skill: absorbing whole new sets of rules and running with them.
"how the world works" changes all the time, depending on the game or the language system you're in.

I'm seeing people in my timeline claiming that once you play a card in a sprint, it can't be changed. Even if you find out that what everyone thought would work actually won't.
Screw that. If you find a better way to accomplish goals, talk about it and decide if you change
