When I look through my photos, they evoke so much more than just a recorded moment.
This sequence of a seal pup being born takes me back to a chilly winter afternoon - hardly able to believe that this was happening. Right in front of me. It was incredible.

Fantastic sighting by Toby Ludlow of a male Purple Emperor ab. lugenda at Chambers Farm Wood. Toby said he'd searched for over 50 years to see one. Very exciting!
This aberration lacks the usual white markings on its upperwings.

Once in a lifetime sighting of Purple Emperor ab. lugenda by Toby Ludlow:
"This amazing and exquisite butterfly is probably the most beautiful British butterfly that I have ever seen, and to see it in Lincolnshire at Chambers Farm Wood makes it all the more special!"

First Peacock of the year, nectaring on Rosemary in my front garden this week. I've also seen Small Tortoiseshell, Brimstone and Comma 🦋

I hadn't seen the regular garden Muntjacs close to the house recently, but today I saw two from the kitchen window. This male has had this wound for a while - hit by a vehicle? He's moving OK and it looks to be healing.

"Every time you use a peat-based compost in the garden, you are deliberately participating in the destruction of a non-renewable environment that sustains some of our most beautiful plant and animal life.” - @TheMontyDon
