@NoraReed PS a subject you love helps keep up long term practice. here's a niche rec: if youre interested in birds, try "Laws Guide to Drawing Birds". talks about field drawing + building a kit for that. i find watching lil' guys go in a park or window chill + rewarding (rare or not!)
@NoraReed ive had a good track record with recommending "drawing in the digital age". it's an analytical approach to drawing that really gets down to the nuts and bolts of "how do i put this thing on a page accurately", which i think is a great complement to other art instruction books
@chrisdurstonish@CountessCassi can't speak for the others, but Ironsworn (and its sister game, Starforged) is designed with both solo and co-op play in mind
@baph0meat if u havent already, this might be a good reason to investigate HTML templating languages like pug or handlebars. among other things, they let u break stuff into reusable pieces that live in their own file. does mean learning More Stuff, but makes a lot of stuff WAY less annoying
i was willing to put up with a mobile subscription because the desktop updates were perpetual. and if v2 for desktop was a separate one-time purchase, i'd happily pay that! but THIS can go straight to hell, man.
@SeanNittner one of my favourite additions in Ironsworn: Starforged is the Story Clue oracle for use with Gather Information. it's driven some really interesting plot-/setting-building in every Starforged i've played in. definitely the most Pepe Silvia of oracles 8D

thanks! it's really rewarding to see what people build using the data. one cool side effect: maintaining it throughout SF's development disseminated rules for testing. i hope more TTRPGs take that route, and not just 'cause i have a vested interest ;)
