Appears there’s a push to latch Digger on to every ‘misunderstood masterpiece’ of the past 5 years or so. In no world should Inarritu’s film be in the same conversation as whatever ended up on the cutting room floor for Eddington, let alone the final work. Stick to Babylon.
Imagine strapping in for 3 hours of Nolan and also having to be subjected to 4 minutes of Villeneuve. At least make it 5 minutes so you can get in a round of Clash Royale!!!
Experience exclusive footage of #DuneMovie in front of The Odyssey, only in IMAX 70mm. Get there early to not miss it.
Dune: Part Three only in theaters and IMAX December 18. #FilmedforIMAX
Anyone calling Fjord a lock to win Best Picture is just as delusional as someone calling for restraint on a film that was already essentially a nominee lock before it premiere and then cleared every hurdle needed to cement itself as an obvious nominee.
@firstshowing Fair enough, can’t do better than winning, probably just a difference of opinion then. Not sure I’d call winning a category it was expected to win before even playing Cannes a glorious victory, but technically it is Oscar glory.
@firstshowing Enjoyed Sentimental Value a good deal, but what Oscar glory did it find? It was competitive in two categories and couldn’t win the one where a lead ran as supporting.
Nolan blows, but this Odyssey talk is as ridiculous now as it was when people were complaining about Wingard’s Death Note on Netflix whitewashing that cast. Such a dumb way to engage with film.
Nolan is following up not just one of like two good films he’s made, but his only great one that was also awarded by the academy. Have to imagine he doesn’t really give af about Oscars at all.
Excited for Mungiu, excited for NWR even though playing out of competition probably tells the whole story. Hopefully means Neon won’t hold it hostage for nearly a year like Alpha.
