Digimon World 2 & 3 felt more Pokemon-lite. Still, both games were fun for what they were
DW3 in particular felt like an epic journey, plus the in-game collectible card game was kinda fun.
Just love the concept of raising generations of Digimon while recruiting various friendly Digimon and making File City feel more lively.
None of the Digimon games I played since have captured the same feeling. Rather they seem to have followed the route that Pokemon took.
Part of me wishes the romance got a little more emphasis, but the real appeal is the father-daughter relationship between Kouhei and Tsumugi over the span of several years
