Most of you have likely seen the historic H.R. 10402, introduced by Congressman Scott Perry (@RepScottPerry) of Pennsylvania, which begins the legislative process for the recognition of #Somaliland.

This thread explains the legislative journey this bill will undergo before it can become ADOPTED. The focus will be on each stage of the process as it occurs to avoid confusion. Every patriotic Somalilander must be proactive in this effort to realize our dream of full statehood.

Step 1: Committee Review

Once a bill is introduced in Congress, it is referred to a committee. For H.R. 10402, it will be presented to the House Foreign Affairs Committee, chaired by Congressman Michael McCaul (@RepMcCaul).
