The guava I grew up eating is slowly disappearing from our markets.

This one. 👇

Small, local, imperfect looking and around ₹60–80/kg.

Now the market is flooded with these huge Thai guavas.

₹200/kg.
2–3 guavas can make 1 kg.

Maybe it’s just me, but the local ones taste far better.

Funny how sometimes the cheaper, local version slowly disappears… while we start paying more for something bigger.
