@nicoleeo2012@greendragonhq@AgSGT00 These aren't sex ed materials youre posting. It's stuff possible check out of the library. No lessons are given on that material. Also, pregnancy is not the only risk of teen sex. STDs can be spread by any type of sexual contact. Sex Ed absolutely needs to inform kids of that.
@nicoleeo2012@greendragonhq@AgSGT00 YOU moved the goalposts. We were talking about whether it's a good idea to talk to children about gay people being normal. You said we shouldn't, I explained my history and why it is good. You then conflated "talking with children" with "literature available to teens"
@nicoleeo2012@greendragonhq@AgSGT00 Okay? That didn't answer my question. Teens reading about sexual topics is normal. It actually helps PREVENT adults needing to talk to them about it,so goes against your point. I saw plenty of descriptions of heterosexual sex when I was in middle school.
@acoolerclimate5@i2McAbre I don't believe you. "They call me a genital fetishist and get mad I won't sleep with them" is something people say when they read some screenshots on Twitter of someone using that term. Irl and even online 98+% of trans people understand genital preference is normal and fine
@nicoleeo2012@Pikadave1@greendragonhq@AgSGT00 That's not the only difference. Its also who you have romantic feelings for, who your celebrity crushes are, your experiences growing up, your legal rights, how you can have children, who you might invite to a dinner party-on and on. Being gay affects nearly every aspect of life
@nicoleeo2012@greendragonhq@AgSGT00 As a former child who needed to know I wasn't alone and it was normal to be feeling how I felt - go fuck yourself. I wish I had some gay adults in my life talk to me about what I was going through.
@i2McAbre Yes. I'm calling you a shithead based on your opinion that others aren't worthy of respect. Totally consistent with my stance on respecting all people of all sexualities and genders
@sleepy_devo You don't need ID to vote in Canada. They ask for ID at polling stations but you can also opt to have someone else vouch for you if you don't have it, or provide secondary I'd like addressed letters, credit cards with your name, etc
Canada also doesn't have the same history of
@robbietweets@Gravecyde That's assuming they do a big forensic investigation and don't just believe the shaking traumatized girl that her boyfriend went psycho. Most police forces aren't gonna get all CSI on this shit. They get handed a ready made explanation, they take it and move on
