@Gaiidii You were right about that UX issue.
Rabbithole 0.3.0 fixes the IC token funding flow for wallets like Oisy and adds withdrawals from internal wallets, so funds can move out too.
Thanks for testing and pointing it out.

Rabbithole 0.3.0 is live.
This update improves IC token funding, adds internal wallet withdrawals, and fixes certified routes for storage vault frontends.
Storage canister updates are now available from the app or directly from the vault.

@Gaiidii Thanks. It is still early, but it feels good to have it public now.
The first feedback is already coming in, and I’m using it to shape the next round of improvements.
@Gaiidii Because the previous version was not good enough.
It failed my own validation, so I rebuilt almost from scratch about a year ago, once the IC ecosystem was mature enough.
vetKeys did not exist 3 years ago, and $5/GB/year storage was not competitive for files.
@Abandyann Yes, that is the hard part.
For encrypted storage, verifiability matters, so monetization cannot be based on lock-in.
The value has to be convenience: managed cycles top-ups, updates, sharing, support, and making sovereignty usable for non-operators.
For more technical context, I wrote docs and a DFINITY forum post covering the IC features used, trust boundaries, product direction, and open questions.

I shared Rabbithole on the DFINITY forum: a sovereign encrypted file vault on the Internet Computer.
A private vault users can control themselves, with direct frontend, browser-side encryption, and shared access.

@OWHistory@dfinity We’ve been rebuilding exactly this for ICP over the last year.
Encrypted, decentralized file storage with a completely rethought architecture.
Docs are now public:

After a long pause, Rabbithole is back.
Our 2023 encrypted storage prototype for ICP led us to completely rethink the architecture and UX.
Over the last year we redesigned the project from scratch.
Docs are now public:

More updates soon.
🏆 Congrats to another #vetKeys bounty winner! 🕵️ This week's spotlight goes to Khalik who used vetKeys to develop the Rabbithole — an encrypted file sharing service that runs fully on chain.
Build it with the open-source code: https://t.co/VhZeJ9XWfx

What‘s up #InternetComputer Community?!
We have been silent, what does not mean, nothing happened within the last weeks!
We have been coding hard and we promise: You will be excited seeing the results!
Stay tuned!

@LuisMompoHanden Thanks you for being interested in https://t.co/gQW2YEHB4T! I am preparing a big update and need some time to release it. I hope it is ok for you to wait a bit - it is worth it. :) Stay tuned!
❤️ Thanks to @dfinity , Thanks to all supporters.
We used this chance to go public, but we are not finished with that!
We have a vision and a plan for our future decentralized & encrypted file storage service based on #ICP! 🎯 We support the #WorldComputer!
Stay tuned! 🚀
