📺 ROOTS ISN’T JUST A TV SERIES. IT’S AN EXPERIENCE.
In 1977, Roots became one of the most powerful television events in American history.
Then in 2016, a new generation was introduced to the story of Kunta Kinte, a young man taken from The Gambia, forced into slavery in America, and determined not to let anyone erase his name, his identity, or where he came from.
What follows is bigger than one man.
It is a story spanning generations.
A story of families torn apart.
A story of survival.
A story of resistance.
A story of people fighting to hold onto their humanity under unimaginable circumstances.
🔥 Roots (1977): 8.4/10 IMDb
🔥 Roots (2016): 7.9/10 IMDb
The 2016 cast included:
🎭 Malachi Kirby
🎭 Forest Whitaker
🎭 Laurence Fishburne
🎭 Anna Paquin
🎭 Jonathan Rhys Meyers
But be warned:
Roots is NOT comfortable television.
It is brutal. Emotional. Disturbing. Powerful.
And there are scenes that will probably stay with you for years.
⭐ My Rating: 9.5/10
There’s a reason people are still talking about Roots nearly 50 years after the original aired.
Some stories entertain you.
Roots forces you to remember.
Have you watched it?
And which version was better: 1977 or 2016? 👇

🚨 BREAKING: MASSIVE 7.4 EARTHQUAKE ROCKS COLOMBIA
A powerful magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck western Colombia near San José del Palmar, sending strong shaking across a wide area and triggering an emergency response. The quake struck deep underground, but its force was still felt across major population centers.
Buildings have been damaged, rescue crews are searching affected areas, and aftershocks remain a concern as officials assess the full scale of the destruction.
A 7.4 is not a minor earthquake. This is a major seismic event.
Colombia is still determining just how bad the damage is.
🌎 Prayers for everyone in the affected region. 🙏🏽

🚨 THIS IS THE AMERICA PEOPLE DON’T LIKE WATCHING IN COLOR.
The footage is from Chicago’s Marquette Park in 1976, where Black demonstrators marched against housing discrimination and segregation while angry crowds gathered around them.
No Hollywood script. No dramatic reenactment. Just Americans confronting each other over who should be allowed to live where.
And before somebody jumps into the comments with “white people came to America as slaves too”, history needs some precision.
Yes, many poor Europeans arrived under brutal systems of indentured servitude and other forms of coerced labor. But that was not the same institution as the race-based, hereditary chattel slavery imposed on generations of Africans and their descendants.
That distinction matters.
What makes this footage uncomfortable is that 1976 wasn’t ancient history. America had already landed on the moon, televisions were in living rooms, and yet people were still fighting in the streets over racial integration.
Watch the faces.
Listen to the words.
Then ask yourself:
How much of this history actually disappeared… and how much simply learned how to speak differently? 👀
🚨BREAKING🚨 DIPLOMATIC BOMBSHELL OR INFORMATION WAR?
Allegedly, Iran has decided it will refuse negotiations with President Trump entirely and simply wait until he leaves office on January 20, 2029.
If true, that would be an extraordinary strategy: absorb sanctions, military pressure, economic pain and regional instability for nearly three more years rather than give Trump a diplomatic victory.
But there’s a major problem with the viral claim. Current reporting shows the situation is far more fluid. Iran and the United States are still maneuvering around negotiations involving the Strait of Hormuz, while Iranian officials have publicly accused Trump of “show diplomacy.” Trump, meanwhile, says Washington is applying economic pressure while keeping negotiations in play.
So the real question may be even more explosive:
Is Tehran genuinely prepared to wait Trump out, or is publicly rejecting negotiations just another weapon at the negotiating table? 👀🇮🇷🇺🇸
Woman gets extremely intoxicated after a hotel meet up with her fling.
When officers arrive, she is seen berating her fling with insults, going as far to claim he raped her.
She later spits on the officers multiple times and yells racial slurs at corrections staff.
Did she over indulge in alcohol or was something more sinister going on?
