Anyway, FF are maintaining equipment, training, doing paperwork, community education etc even when not fighting fires.

I'm a cyclist and not a National supporter but still think this was the better option, for now.

Eventually we'll need to get bikes across, but once the middle class can't afford cars there will be a spare lane going.

NZTA has made the right decision (again) to not remove lanes on the Auckland Harbour Bridge for a cycle lane.

Removing lanes would cause significant congestion, inefficiency for key freight routes and PT disruption.

Common sense has prevailed with this decision by NZTA.
