@Elvish_Harper There was also another twist later on revealing that no one had gotten into the Good Place in hundreds of years because the standards for being "good" had become impossible to meet. It's actually an enjoyable show overall, and interesting to analyze from a Christian perspective.
@MeatwadSoldier I can't believe they also coaxed Neal Hefti out of retirement to write a new theme song that was just a chorus singing "BREAKING BAD!!! BREAKING BAD!!!" over and over again.
@Srirachachau The game show Press Your Luck (of "Big Bucks! No Whammies!" fame) was actually a revival of an earlier show called "Second Chance," which aired for four months in 1976 and has never re-aired.
@ShrekShark2@Y2K_mindset It's a shame, because the music in that show is pretty damn good. But yeah, knowing what we know now, the story is just preposterous
@eriobear The fact that they honestly believed Walt "really cared about Jesse" as a student--when it was established pretty much from the first episode that he's a shitty, unengaging teacher--says a lot.
@Pun_Trash And hiring them to take out a bunch of prisoners is pretty accurate. The Aryan Brotherhood is notorious for being one of the most violent prison gangs IRL
@sivori There are videos out there of The Platters performing on cruise ships in the late 2000s with Herb Reed's (the last surviving original member) vocal track isolated. It's...not pretty.
@dicaprioburner I'm no lawyer, but didn't Hansen-being a public figure-have to give his permission to the filmmakers to use his likeness in the first place? This all strikes me as one big PR stunt.
@s_wondering@mattvanswol So you'd be OK with a cop giving you a speeding ticket for going 2MPH over the limit, then? After all, it's the law and he's just doing his job...
@HexagonTiles@lporiginalg I figured there had to be more to this story. In most places in the US power/gas companies are not allowed to shut off heat for non-payment during winter.
