We enjoyed the fifth LEAD Luncheon of the academic year on Saturday! Over a delicious catered meal, our graduate-level students heard an inspiring presentation on the top ten leadership lessons from our keynote speaker and College of Education Dean, Dr. Joan Berry.
Anyone say book club? Belton ISD teachers love coming together to talk literacy! Discussions, next steps, and wonderings using Serravallo's book "A Guide to Reading Conferences." We are already looking forward to our next book club session. #BISDLiteracyLove#ReadingConferences
What a visit to @CharterOakElem! Students shared their learning, got excited about a moose & muffin, danced showing the difference between erosion and weathering, & said "I'm really going to miss my teacher this weekend!" #InspiringDreams & #EmpoweringFutures in @BeltonISD!
2nd grade GT students @CharterOakElem are learning the “Wampanoag Way” by completing a Wetu STEM challenge! Tomorrow we will put their designs to the test with wind, rain, and snow!

@CharterOakElem our 2nd graders celebrate #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth with our very own Mrs. Hall! We loved learning about her Lakota Sioux heritage and seeing the amazing items handcrafted by her grandmother.
@CharterOakElem our very own Mrs. Hall spent the morning with my class teaching us about her Lakota Sioux heritage.
Thank you for teaching us to celebrate our heritage, and the importance of giving. We loved the items handcrafted by your grandmother! #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth
This was my pathway. The work and family friendly schedule, the cohort style learning environment, and the leadership on campus allowed me to work through the program and become a certified teacher in one year. I have always felt equipped because of my @UMHB_COE experience.
Students finishing up their narratives as we prepare for our celebration!
I love to see these writers and how far they’ve come in just a couple months!

“All the ways we are different make our neighborhood-our whole world really- more interesting and fun.” -S. Sotomayor
#BetterTogether
Kicking off our Hispanic heritage studies by researching the wildlife of Colombia! I love seeing them excited about pink dolphins and two-toed sloths, but I especially love their eagerness to learn about our world and its people. #empoweringfutures#bettertogether@CharterOakElem
Starting off the year right “write” in 2nd grade! Students created name plates to represent themselves and our family encouraged each other to shake off those first day jitters! @BeltonISD#empoweringfutures#ourclassisafamily
