The knife of the heavenly surgeon never cuts deeper than is absolutely necessary….The thought is full of consolation, that he who has fixed the bounds of our habitation, has also fixed the bounds of our tribulation. -CS
The goal of faithfulness was never comfort but the goal of faithfulness was Christ. Following Jesus will lead to hospital beds, prison cells, loneliness and even a cross. @dustinwells@SummitRDU
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins” 1 Pet 4
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Jon 13
To those deconstructing: I see your pain. Scripture being used to prop up an institution and hypocrisy in those you trusted. Your critiques are often sharp clear-minded.
But I have to ask gently: What if the thing you’re fighting against, you have now become?
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Eph. 4
“if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently.” Gal 6
@gatorgar Yes of course!!! Cole on. Anywhere that proclaims Jesus name as savior! Shoot me a private message and I’ll help you find one if you need it!
“If our goal is to avoid conflict, we need a different message. If however, our goal is to be truthful, something more difficult than open minded and loving, something far better than tolerant, then we have the perfect message.” @RandyNewman
