@DiscePuer@tractorgirly@HKPhooey21 Not even male GPs work full time as it’s impossible to do so whilst remaining sane in current system as demand far outstrips supply. Years of underfunding have degraded our GP role. GP blaming only going to result in more of us throwing in towel. 🤷♀️
Have you seen our ad in the @nytimes?
In Gaza, no place is safe.
The bombing doesn't stop and there's barely any food or clean water.
End this humanitarian catastrophe.
#CeasefireNow
The UN chief said that in the current conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants in Gaza, where thousands of children have been killed in the past few weeks, the world is witnessing a level of violence unprecedented in his time as Secretary-General ⤵️
It is possible to hate Hamas, but want an end to the slaughter of civilians in Gaza. It’s possible to support Israel’s right to exist (and defend itself), but oppose Netanyahu and how he’s going about it
The devastating loss of innocent Palestinian life and humanitarian catastrophe resulting from Israel’s bombardment and siege of Gaza cannot be morally justified.
The evil of Hamas cannot be paid by the civilians of Gaza.
I repeat my call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, for the release of hostages, and for aid to reach people in dire need.

The relentless bombardment of hospitals and civilians in Gaza is intolerable. It’s against international humanitarian law - it must stop and stop now. The misuse of hospitals by Hamas does not justify attacks by Israel. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
The situation facing staff and patients in Gaza’s hospitals is catastrophic. Everything must be done to restore its healthcare system and protect those in desperate need.
I pray especially for the courageous staff and the patients of the Anglican-run Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza.
Please hold our Anglican sisters and brothers, and all the civilians of Gaza, in your prayers.
#CeaseFireNow is the only way forward when ambulances, MedicineSanFrontier, children and healthcare staff are the key groups being killed. 😢😢😢 When every humanitarian agency is calling this a disaster there is no place for silence. https://t.co/l4gwWf8Omm
I love what Saint Teresa of Avila (1515-1582) says here about giving opinion to others:
"Never offer to give your opinion on anything unless you are asked for it, or love requires you to do so."
Ha!
That's an apt word for twenty-first century Christians on social media.
The Taliban have reportedly issued an order instructing taxi drivers to not play or listen to music and to avoid transporting women who are travelling without a male guardian beyond a certain distance.
If only the world could feel the pain of living in Afghanistan.
@JMoncktonSmith Depressingly so. I believe that at the first whiff of a DV call to police, they should immediately check for,at least, whether there is a firearms licence held at the address. Suspend the licence and seize the weapons.
The 7 year old girl who kept her hand on her little brother's head to protect him while they were under the rubble for 17 hours has made it safely. I see no one sharing. If she were dead, everyone would share! Share positivity...
@RoyalFamily Feeling myself welling up at this news update. Her steadfast presence as our Monarch is an inspiration. My prayers are with Her Majesty and all her family members.
