@DrTLovesBooks I have been having a week like that and agree I want to vent my frustration to the world. In education sometimes it is the adults that are harder to deal with than the kids.
We tell pupils to study, but have we actually taught them how to study??
Today I finished off my ‘How to study: a simple guide on how to study smarter not harder’ PowerPoint. Hopefully will help senior pupils learn how to study effectively ✨
@MonteSyrie YES! So many teachers don't accept late work, or only give 1/2 credit. I understand they are trying to teach kids to be responsible, but I don't think that helps. As a parent and a teacher I think doing the work and learning is more important.
@mrsamandapierce It is an adjustment. You don't get to know your kids as deeply but I love being the library teacher and having ALL the kids ALL the years. What age? Fixed or Flexible schedule?
@DrTLovesBooks This is something I know I need to work on. I feel like if I wait too long I will lose some. I do love the Nearpod interactive lessons because of this. It gives everyone a chance to chime in.
I don't like the new for you trend line. I used to have subjects that interested me, like geology, wild birds, fantasy and random things would pop up.. That's gone.
Now it's all El## Mu$* posts.🤮
@kelseybogan Exactly! We have to use personal days or put in a request to pay a sub out of our $200 a year allowance for PD and supplies. It is so expensive. While I would love to go to more in person, there are also many free online ones.
