Bottom line is this: If PBM reform doesn’t take place, including paying independent pharmacies above cost on the drugs they dispense, the entire United States will be a Pharmacy Desert. We are less than a year away from that.
I was only watching #OpeningCeremony to see #CelineDion and she killed it tonight!! Blown away by the power of that performance, and I don’t speak French.
Ok, I'm a Speech Pathologist. What you see here is not dementia, it is stuttering. The extended eye blinks are called secondary behaviors. Notice every time he does that he is dysfluent. At the end when he doesn't finish his thought & diverts to "Look", is called circumlocution.
@SaraBONE3 @redlgb1969@Optum@BoesingLoretta We paid the $350 out of pocket (because what was our other option?) still going to miss at least 1 day of therapy due to this delay of care. I’m furious!
Been on hold with @Optum for 30 mins to figure out my 7YO daughter’s anti-rejection med she’s been on for a year that NOW requires a PA? She’ll be out of med in a few days. Cash price is ~$350. She needs this med so her kidneys don’t fail. This is inhumane!
@SMacMillanMD @Optum@BoesingLoretta Absolutely true and exactly what has happened. Attempted to call my health plan customer service line this morning…closed till Monday.
@Optum@BCBSM@BCBSAssociation@UHC@DGlaucomflecken To be clear, we’re going to pay the ~$350 out of pocket to get the life saving med she needs. That is a weeks worth off groceries for my family of five. Why do I pay my monthly premiums?
@Tsparks615 I really appreciate the offer though. You’d think that a company like @Optum@UHC that made $226 billion in 2023 would extend the same courtesy. I guess they’d rather pay for dialysis and inpatient care.
@Optum@BoesingLoretta How about you just cover the meds my very sick child needs? Why do we need a PA annually for a disease she will have for her entire life??
